Main Responsibilities
- Support sourcing and supplier qualification activities
- Review technical requirements with factories
- Verify supplier understanding against client expectations
- Answer routine factory technical questions
- Escalate only critical engineering issues to the client/U.S. team
- Help reduce delays caused by time-zone differences between Asia and the USA
- The person will support the client's internal sourcing process and make sure about the product compliance . Also, can answer the factory questions when needed on the behalf of the client.
- Able to join meetings with the client's engineering team in the USA once per week.
- Able to work 20 – 40 hours per month
Requirements
- 2-5 years’ experience (junior profile is acceptable)
- Experience working with:
- Power cords
- PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies)
- Wire harnesses
- Box-build assemblies
- Exposure to EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services), contract manufacturing, or supplier management is a plus.
Technical Skills
Able to read and understand
- Electrical schematics
- Wiring diagrams
- Assembly drawings
- BOMs (Bill of Materials)
Basic understanding of:
- Electronic components
- Manufacturing processes
- Product specifications and compliance requirements
Able to review supplier’s questions and provide technical clarification without requiring customer involvement.
Communication
- Good English communication (written and spoken)
- Comfortable joining weekly engineering meetings with the U.S. team
- Able to bridge communication between factories in Asia and engineers in the USA
