Main Responsibilities

1. Quality System Development and Maintenance

  • Develop product-specific quality control procedures: Autonomously design quality control procedures tailored to specific products, considering customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Create quality requirements: Develop clear quality requirements for products, ensuring suppliers can follow them effectively.
  • Attend product development meetings: Participate in new product development meetings to provide input on quality standards.


2. Product Quality Control

  • Conduct comprehensive inspections: Independently and proactively conduct quality control inspections at various stages of the production process (PP samples, inline, outline, and final inspections).
  • Analyze and address quality issues: Work with merchandisers and suppliers to investigate customer feedback and complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Perform product testing: Conduct testing related to BIFMA, ASTM, ISTA, ISO, EN, and other relevant furniture standards to ensure product quality and compliance.
  • Review testing results: Supervise the testing follow-up process, review testing results weekly, and provide recommendations for improvement to merchandisers.


3. Compliance Assurance

  • Ensure regulatory compliance: Train yourself and others in compliance, quality standards, and certifications related to key products and markets.
  • Conduct internal and external audits: Participate in audits to verify compliance with requirements and identify areas for improvement.


4. Collaboration and Communication

  • Provide expert advice: Offer factory teams guidance on improving product quality to meet customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively: Discuss and explain quality matters to stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and other quality control personnel.
  • Prepare and share reports: Provide reports to the team, including recommendations and innovations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with merchandisers and suppliers to address customer feedback and complaints.
  • Visit factories: Conduct factory assessments to provide recommendations for improvement.


5. Team Development and Training

  • Lead and guide quality control teams: Arrange for QC personnel to lead vendor inspection teams and guide factory teams in setting up quality control processes and procedures.
  • Provide training and mentorship: Train and mentor quality control personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably in the furniture industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and industry standards (BIFMA, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
  • Proficient in product testing, inspections, and root cause analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prepare reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in leading quality control teams and conducting training sessions.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
